Job description

The Retail Trainer is responsible for the scoping, implementation and evaluation of key learning projects and interventions that deliver increased and sustained performance and bring about cultural and behavioural change across the business. Working with a range of stakeholders to design and deliver fit for purpose initiatives and interventions, they play a critical role in the delivery of the learning priorities (people plan) and KIKO values.

Providing advice and support to line managers and individuals they achieve sustained measurable results that support the development of the capacity and capability of the team. Responding proactively to the changing needs of an ever-evolving business climate, supporting, and implementing new ways of working to ensure the skills of the team meet both current and emerging needs.

(The role will cover Midlands & North)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion KIKO’s culture, values and behaviours ensuring that they are reflected in all development interventions and are threaded throughout all delivery mechanisms.

  • Support implementation of KIKO’s learning priorities, providing learning expertise for the analysis, design and implementation of learning projects and work streams (learning and development plan).

  • Ensure that the implementation of all learning initiatives and interventions are delivered professionally and to the highest standards, and that all solutions put in place align with, develop to, and embed KIKO’s values and behaviours.

  • Provide advice, guidance and support to line managers and their teams to identify function specific learning priorities and plans, ensuring initiatives are aligned to KIKO’s priorities.

  • Support onboarding of new starters through the design and delivery of corporate, local and role specific induction, including maintenance of programme content and delivery methods.

  • Consistently monitor Business KPIs (LFL progression, Conversion Rate, Average Ticket etc.) and make recommendations that will have a positive impact on improving business performance.

  • Upskill and continually develop KIKO subject matter experts (e.g., Make-Up Application(s), Customer Service, etc.) and work collaboratively to ensure learning interventions are relevant, accurate and quality assured.

  • Passionate about building a coherent learning experience that drives engagement and true behavioural change. Focused on the end user’s holistic experience.

  • Willing to propose and champion alternative approaches with support from senior stakeholders and focused on bringing simplicity

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in retail training or related field

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of instructional design principles

  • Experience in cosmetics or beauty industry preferred

  • Ability to travel to different store locations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
